Alfa’s data migration tooling gets AI boost

Alfa has enhanced its data migration tooling with the launch of Alfa Recon, a new AI-enabled reconciliation module designed to help lenders migrate legacy data and acquired portfolios to Alfa Systems more quickly and accurately.

The new capability forms part of Alfa Migration Suite and is intended to address one of the most complex stages of systems transformation projects by adding greater intelligence, automation and oversight to migration reconciliation processes.

Alfa Recon includes a built-in AI assistant that analyses migration data to identify trends, flag problem areas and generate natural-language summaries, helping teams resolve issues faster and prioritise resources more effectively.

The module also provides managed dashboards offering real-time visibility into migration progress and data quality, while automated KPI reporting is designed to support governance processes and project sign-off.

According to Alfa, the platform acts as a central source of truth throughout migration programmes, from initial trial migrations through to go-live, creating a robust audit trail while reducing the manual workload traditionally associated with reconciliation exercises.

Alex Vinall, associate director (solution architecture) at Alfa, said the launch reflected Alfa’s wider approach to practical AI deployment.

The launch builds on Alfa’s Portfolio Load capability, introduced in 2024 as part of Alfa Systems 6, which was designed to support faster onboarding for less complex migration requirements, including acquired portfolios and Banking-as-a-Service launches.

Portfolio Load enables customers to quickly load third parties, contracts and assets into production environments using a simplified process.

Alfa said the combined capabilities of Alfa Recon, Alfa Migration Suite and Portfolio Load provide customers with a broader toolkit to accelerate migration programmes, reduce operational risk and deliver value from transformation initiatives more quickly.
