The AFPA Trust has officially confirmed the return of The Big Golf 2026, set to take place on Thursday, 23 July 2026 at the prestigious The Berkshire Golf Club.

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s event, organisers say this year’s edition promises to be even bigger, combining competitive golf with networking, fundraising, and social engagement.

Participants will enjoy 18 holes on the renowned Blue Course, one of two world-class layouts at the venue, with a full day of activities beginning with coffee and bacon rolls from 7:15am, followed by a two-tee start at 8:00am and a carvery lunch at 12:30pm in the club’s dining room.

Only 12 teams will be able to take part, adding an exclusive feel to what organisers describe as “the social of all socials.”

The competition format remains unchanged, featuring:

  • A main competition (best two scores from four players with 9/10 handicaps)
  • The ever-popular Yellow Ball challenge, testing teamwork and consistency (where the ball is passed from player to player and is scored Stapleford on each hole, then totalled, but it must be returned to qualify)

Teams will compete for a share of £12,000 in charitable prize funding, with winnings directed to causes of their choice: £3,000 for first place, £2,000 for second, £1,000 for third (awarded in both competitions). And any charity partners winnings will include a special bonus.

Entry fees are set at:

  • £350 per person for AFPA members (£1,400 for a four-ball)
  • £380 per person for non-members (£1,520 for a four-ball)
  • Discounted rates available for charity partners (up to 25% off)

Speaking ahead of the event, AFPA Trust Chair Robert Taylor said: “The Big Golf Day is about much more than just great golf – it’s about bringing people together, building connections, and making a real difference for charities.

“After last year’s success, we’re thrilled to be doing it all again and raising even more for important causes.”

With strong demand expected and limited capacity, organisers are encouraging teams to secure their place early by contacting Matt Chambers at mchambers@vitrx.co.uk.
