iwoca increased revenue by 56% to £366 million in 2025 as the SME lender provided £1.5 billion of funding to small businesses and expanded its offering into new financial products.

The fintech’s latest financial accounts show revenue increased from £234 million in 2024, while annual lending rose from £952 million to £1.5 billion.

Across the UK and Germany, iwoca funded around 100,000 SME loans during 2025, taking the total amount it has lent to small businesses since launching in 2012 to more than £6 billion.

The combination of increased lending and productivity improvements also helped iwoca increase profits to £85.1 million during the year.

The company is now reinvesting in expanding its range of SME products, including the launch of a new Business Credit Card designed to provide UK businesses with flexible credit for everyday expenditure and unexpected costs.

Christoph Rieche, CEO and co-founder of iwoca, said: “Since launch in 2012, we’ve focused relentlessly on our mission to finance underserved SMEs. While we’re now lending at scale, and announcing new products and partnerships, the funding gap continues to widen. We have more work to do.”

The Business Credit Card follows the introduction earlier this year of Credit Compass, a free tool providing SMEs with information about their credit standing and ways to improve their credit position.

More than 10,000 SMEs have registered for Credit Compass since its launch.

iwoca has also continued to expand iwocaPay, its B2B buy-now-pay-later service launched in 2020. The platform has now processed £100 million of payments for 13,000 businesses.

According to iwoca, the majority of businesses using iwocaPay have annual revenues below £500,000, providing smaller firms with access to trade credit and more flexible payment terms.

The company plans to broaden its offering further over the coming months, with new products expected in areas including insurance and mergers and acquisitions.

Alongside the product expansion, iwoca is continuing to increase its capacity for SME lending. It recently secured a new £250 million funding facility with a UK bank and WAM Capital.

The lender also distributes finance through more than 50 partnerships, enabling businesses to access funding through platforms they already use. These include Starling, Tide, Monzo and Xero, with a new integration with Starling now live.
