Alfa expands fleet finance platform with vehicle ordering and driver management

Alfa has expanded the fleet finance capabilities of its Alfa Systems platform with new vehicle ordering and driver management functionality designed to help fleet providers manage increasingly complex portfolios.

The enhancements to Alfa Systems for Fleet Finance are aimed at streamlining vehicle procurement, improving portfolio visibility and credit exposure controls, and simplifying the administration of drivers.

As fleets grow to incorporate greater numbers of vehicles, suppliers and delivery schedules, Alfa said providers require technology capable of managing high-volume acquisitions while retaining visibility at an individual vehicle level.

The new vehicle ordering functionality enables fleet providers to create consolidated orders containing multiple quotes across different vehicle types.

Automated quote replication is designed to reduce the administrative work involved in creating orders, while individual vehicles can continue to be managed separately throughout their lifecycle as they are delivered, activated or amended.

Alfa has also introduced dedicated driver management functionality alongside flexible credit exposure controls.

Fleet providers can maintain a history of driver assignments, link individual drivers with vehicles and their employer organisations, and manage related financial transactions.

Bringing driver, vehicle, contract and financial information together within Alfa Systems is intended to provide fleet operators with a more comprehensive view of their portfolios and associated risk.

The new functionality extends Alfa Systems for Fleet Finance’s existing capabilities for managing customers, vehicles and assets throughout their lifecycle.

Delivered through Alfa Cloud, the platform also offers API integration with customer portals, OEM systems and other services within the wider mobility ecosystem.
