Appointments Sponsored by Appointments Asset Alliance Group makes senior appointments to support growth Published: 2nd September 2026 Share Asset Alliance Group has promoted Anthony Jones and Matthew Board to expanded senior roles as the commercial vehicle finance specialist simplifies its operating structure and targets further growth. Anthony Jones has been appointed Commercial Director – Commercial Vehicles, having previously served as Head of Vendor Finance and Key Accounts. He joined Asset Alliance Group in 2021. Matthew Board, who joined the business in 2022 and was previously Head of General Asset Finance, has become Head of Vendor and Corporate Accounts. The appointments coincide with a restructuring of Asset Alliance Group’s operations from four divisions into two – Commercial Vehicle and Bus & Coach – with its vehicle, vendor and asset finance activities now incorporated within the two areas. The company said the simplified structure is designed to improve performance, broaden its customer base and enable it to serve a wider range of commercial vehicle funding requirements. Michael Bycroft, Managing Director at Asset Alliance Group, said: “I’m delighted to announce these well-deserved promotions, which come on the heels of a successful period that has seen us invest heavily in the technology, and people, underpinning our business.” Contract hire will remain central to Asset Alliance Group’s commercial vehicle activities, although the company has been expanding its work with larger key accounts and developing its vendor finance offering. The new structure is also intended to strengthen its ability to finance customers requiring more specialised equipment, including trailers and rigid vehicles, as well as assets for sectors such as refuse, construction and car transportation. Jones said: “This is about putting the structure and expertise in place to facilitate further growth and simplify our reporting framework, while ensuring the integrity we’re known for is maintained. “We’ve built an extremely successful business within contract hire that we’re proud of, but we also recognise there are very different requirements between an owner-operator and a business with 100 trucks that we are seeking to address. “This new structure will allow us to serve a wider range of customer needs more efficiently.” Asset Alliance Group said its vendor finance operation has also recorded strong performance, supporting transactions ranging from used asset sales to large-scale fleet renewal programmes.
