£12m BFS funding backs Diverse Group’s expansion

Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has provided a £12 million confidential invoice discounting facility to London-based Diverse Recruitment Group, giving the fast-growing care sector recruiter additional working capital to support its nationwide expansion.

Diverse Group, which supplies temporary staff across health and social care and local government, has an annual turnover of £100 million and operates several brands, including Diverse Recruitment, Imperium Resourcing, MCM Medical, Amare Health and Social Work First.

The new facility, introduced by Matthew Stacey at Antares Finance, was structured by a BFS deal team led by Corporate Business Development Manager Christian Nolan. BFS said it acted quickly to meet the Group’s need for increased liquidity, having already supported an associated acquisition earlier in 2025. The £12 million arrangement was delivered across five entities to increase individual customer funding limits and unlock working capital for both organic growth and further acquisitions.

Tommy Love, Managing Director of Diverse Group, said BFS’s responsiveness was crucial. “BFS supported at a critical time for our business.

“Their ability to respond quickly, understand the complexity of a multi-entity structure and increase our facility within tight timeframes made all the difference,” he said. “The new funding line provides the working capital headroom we need to continue scaling across the UK care sector and to pursue future acquisition opportunities.”

Nolan said BFS was pleased to back a business operating at the heart of essential public services. “We’re proud to partner with Diverse Group, a business playing a vital role in meeting staffing needs across the care sector,” he said. “Our team worked collaboratively and at speed to structure a confidential invoice discounting facility that supports both their immediate requirements and long-term ambitions.”

The transaction team also included Assistant Corporate Managers Elliott Butlin and Rachel Hollett, Commercial Onboarding Co-ordinator Kate Jackson, Head of Corporate Business Centre (South) Ashley Weddle, Underwriting/Risk specialist Andrew Strike, and Steve Nixon, Regional Head of Corporate (Central & South).
