Corporate Member Receivables Finance News Ultimate Finance provides £1m facility to Blackhall & Powis Published: 25th August 2026 Share Ultimate Finance has provided a £1 million Invoice Finance facility to surveying specialist Blackhall & Powis to support its continued expansion and working capital requirements. The Scottish-headquartered business was introduced to Ultimate Finance by Two Business Finance, which has worked with Blackhall & Powis for more than five years and supported its growth from £1 million to £10 million turnover. Blackhall & Powis provides surveying services, particularly land referencing and spatial mapping, supporting planning applications for onshore and offshore wind farms, telecommunications infrastructure and other sectors. The company operates across real estate, geospatial and development services and now employs around 100 people across eight UK offices. With further expansion planned, including an ambition to quadruple the size of the business over the coming years, Blackhall & Powis required additional working capital to support its growing payroll and wider operational commitments. Ultimate Finance worked with Two Business Finance to structure the £1 million Invoice Finance facility, releasing cash tied up in the company’s sales ledger and providing additional funding capacity as the business grows. Alex Russon, Regional Director at Ultimate Finance, said: “Blackhall & Powis is a high-quality, fast-growing business – but like for many service-led companies, cashflow pressure builds up each month despite growing sales. “They needed a working capital solution that would keep pace with growth and protect payroll month after month.” Robert Perrie of Two Business Finance said the broker identified the need for additional cashflow funding after reviewing Blackhall & Powis’ projected growth for 2026 and beyond. He said: “Two Business Finance have worked with Blackhall & Powis and the owner John for over five years. In that time, we have supported their growth from £1m to £10m turnover. Having projected the business growth for 2026 and beyond we could see the requirement for a cashflow facility.” Perrie highlighted the involvement of Ultimate Finance’s credit team during the transaction, with a senior credit underwriter working directly on the deal. “What impressed us most was their collaborative approach,” he added. “We got a clear roadmap from Alex regarding possible credit hurdles – so there would be no surprises down the line. “Most importantly, during the process a senior credit underwriter joined in personally to sign off the deal. With Ultimate Finance, it felt like we were all working together as one.” Russon said Ultimate Finance’s approach involved bringing legal, credit and client management specialists into discussions at an early stage where appropriate, rather than relying solely on automated eligibility assessments. With the facility now in place, Blackhall & Powis will use the additional working capital to support staffing and operations across its eight offices and pursue further growth opportunities, including within the renewable energy sector.
