Community Time Finance raises over £8,000 for charity Published: 24th July 2025 Share Time Finance, an independent lender to the SME market, has celebrated its year-long fundraising efforts with a cheque donation in support of South West charity, the Ben Saunders Foundation. The total funds were raised through a series of employee-led activities, including the business’ inaugural five-a-side football tournament, a number of staff bake sales and raffles held across Time Finance’s four regional offices. All proceeds have gone directly to the Ben Saunder’s Foundation, which provides holidays and vital support for children and young adults living with cancer. The organisation was created by Ben Saunders, who passed away from a rare form of cancer in 2020. Driven by Ben’s ambition to support young people living with cancer, the charity has launched Cotswold holiday spots, Ben’s Retreat and Ben’s Lodge, which have helped to give respite to over 400 families to-date. “This year’s fundraising efforts have been a fantastic example of what we can achieve when we come together with purpose. The Ben Saunders Foundation was nominated by a member of our team in Bath who knew Ben personally, and that makes our fundraising efforts all the more important.” said Ed Rimmer, CEO at Time Finance. “We’re incredibly proud of the creativity, energy, and generosity shown by our team to support such an important cause this year.” Speaking of the donations made, Tom and Jo Saunders said: “When we were approached by one of Ben’s best friends, Tom Barton, with the possibility of the company he works for having Ben’s foundation as the charity of the year, we were pleased but didn’t know what to expect. As the year progressed, we could see how much effort was being put in by the wonderful staff and the end result speaks for itself. The amount raised will cover the pitch fees on one of Ben’s lodges for all of 2025/26 meaning around 100 families affected by cancer will be supported. “Tom and Ben played football together from the age of 6 and were still best friends when we lost Ben to cancer in 2020 aged 18. From the bottom of our hearts we thank all of you for helping to keep Ben’s legacy alive.” Time Finance specialises in the provision and arrangement of funding solutions to UK businesses seeking to access the finance they need to realise their growth plans.
