Shawbrook expands Healthcare team with senior appointment

Shawbrook has strengthened its Healthcare Lending team with the appointment of Emma Glynn as Senior Director, supporting the bank’s healthcare and social care finance propositions.

Glynn will work across both the Shawbrook and ThinCats Healthcare platforms, with responsibility for originating new opportunities and strengthening the ThinCats Healthcare proposition.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare property, valuation and governance, having advised providers, investors and lenders across the UK and Europe.

Glynn spent 23 years at JLL, including five years leading its Healthcare Advisory team between 2020 and 2025. She has also held a number of board positions, including almost seven years as a Non-Executive Director at Somerset Care, where she latterly served as Senior Independent Director.

She previously served on the Board of University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Her experience includes providing independent valuation, market intelligence and strategic risk advice across major UK healthcare portfolios.

Shawbrook said the appointment reinforces its commitment to providing specialist sector expertise and tailored finance solutions to businesses operating across the healthcare and social care sectors.
