Fleet Finance Sponsored by Fleet Finance News Lightfoot reaches 100,000 connected vehicles milestone Published: 6th May 2026 Share Lightfoot has surpassed 100,000 connected units installed across fleet vehicles in the UK and overseas, marking a significant milestone for the driver-focused fleet technology company as demand grows for connected and data-driven fleet management solutions. The achievement reflects the company’s rapid expansion in recent years, both in terms of customer adoption and product development, with Lightfoot now employing more than 100 staff and offering a broader suite of connected fleet technologies. Founded as an in-cab driver coaching solution, Lightfoot has evolved into a comprehensive connected fleet platform designed to help operators improve driver behaviour, safety, efficiency and sustainability. Each of the company’s connected units provides real-time driver coaching, aimed at encouraging safer and more fuel-efficient driving habits while helping fleets reduce emissions and operational costs. Lightfoot’s product portfolio now includes its core driver coaching system alongside Vision, Locate and Connect, broadening the platform’s capabilities across vehicle visibility, connectivity and fleet oversight. The company said the milestone underlines the increasing appetite among fleet operators for technology that combines operational insight with a driver-centric approach. As part of its ongoing platform development, Lightfoot also confirmed it will roll out an updated connection setup as standard across all future installations, upgrades and maintenance work. The enhanced setup, first introduced last year, has already led to a sustained reduction in installation-related issues and improved connection reliability, according to the company. Lightfoot said the move will help ensure more accurate fleet data and uninterrupted visibility for customers from the point of installation onwards. Commenting on the achievement, Paul Hollick, Chief Executive Officer of Lightfoot, said the milestone reflected both customer trust and the growing impact of connected fleet technology. “Reaching 100,000 connected units is a major milestone for Lightfoot,” he said. “It reflects the trust our customers place in us and the real-world impact our technology is delivering every day. “We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.” With its workforce continuing to grow and its technology platform expanding, Lightfoot said it is well positioned to support fleets as they transition toward safer, smarter and more sustainable operations.
