Licence Check and Select Car Leasing partner on fleet management

Licence Check and Select Car Leasing have entered a strategic fleet management partnership that will make Licence Check’s DAVIS fleet and risk management platform available to Select customers.

Under the white-label agreement, Reading-based Select Car Leasing will offer fleet management services through the DAVIS platform, including DAVIS Fleet and the DAVIS Driver App.

Select currently has a live fleet of more than 100,000 vehicles on UK roads and leased 34,195 new vehicles during 2025.

The partnership will give Select customers access to services including automated real-time driving licence checks, company and grey fleet management, fleet reporting and driver services.

“I did a deep dive into the fleet management offerings available in the market and DAVIS really aligned with our requirements and ticked all our boxes,” she said.

“The business has a very similar approach to ours, being very customer-centric with a clear identity and similar ambitions.

“As a self-serve solution, DAVIS is as appropriate for a full-time fleet manager as it is for a manager for whom fleet is only a part of their job. And it allows both company and grey fleet vehicles to be managed efficiently and effectively from one platform with minimal admin.”

Worthington said the DAVIS Driver App was also an important factor in Select’s decision, particularly for fleets operating vehicles through multiple funders.

“The DAVIS Driver App was also a very important aspect in the decision as it gives drivers access to a whole range of services, including condition and mileage reporting along with key contact numbers – which is important where multiple funders might be involved,” she added.

DAVIS Fleet forms part of Licence Check’s Driver and Vehicle Information Solutions (DAVIS) risk management platform, which currently carries out around 1.7 million driving licence checks each year.

The platform is designed to provide fleet managers with greater visibility of their vehicles while reducing administration and supporting compliance.

Through the DAVIS Driver App, drivers can access functions including mileage capture, vehicle inspection reporting and condition and defect reporting.

Information from the app integrates with DAVIS Fleet, providing managers with dashboard views of exceptions including vehicles running above or below expected mileage, vehicles approaching mileage limits, missing mileage records and reported defects.
