iVendi launches payment solution to eliminate dealer friction points

iVendi has unveiled a new payment solution designed to remove long-standing “points of friction” in the vehicle sales process, promising faster transactions, reduced admin and improved profitability for dealers.

Launched this week, iVendi Pay integrates directly into dealers’ existing digital workflows and the company’s Transact platform. The tool links payments automatically to deals, provides real-time visibility for staff, and offers customers more transparent and flexible ways to pay for vehicles, add-ons and finance packages.

According to iVendi, the technology leads to quicker handovers, fewer administrative errors, and stronger margins for retailers.

James Tew, iVendi CEO, said payments have remained “one of the last areas of difficulty” in creating a seamless automotive sales journey.

“Because buyers today expect convenience, transparency and speed, these points of friction could cost sales,” he said.

“Payments in automotive retail are often slow, manual and disconnected from dealer systems. Staff spend a lot of time chasing deposits, matching payments to vehicles and fixing administrative errors. iVendi Pay is, we believe, the first real solution to these issues.”

Tew highlighted three core benefits of the new platform:

Removing manual processes:iVendi Pay automatically connects transactions to specific vehicles, eliminating the need for staff to reconcile payments or chase bank transfers. Dealers can see immediately when a deal is paid and ready for handover.

Reducing customer frustration:Buyers can pay using card, bank transfer or finance options, with all transactions instantly reflected in the dealer’s system. The result is a smoother, faster handover experience.

Unlocking more revenue opportunities:The platform simplifies payment for warranties and other add-ons, offering flexible options such as 0% buy-now-pay-later finance over up to 24 months.

Tew added that the product forms part of iVendi’s broader strategy to create an end-to-end digital retail ecosystem.

“We have been developing our product range so that iVendi is very much becoming the Shopify of automotive retail,” he said.

“The arrival of iVendi Pay is an important step in completing this all-encompassing vision. It delivers very real improvements in an area that has long been painful for both dealers and their customers, and we’re expecting interest to be high.”
