Receivables Finance News IGF reports £10.1m profit after record origination year Published: 7th October 2026 Share Independent Growth Finance (IGF) has reported profit before tax of £10.1 million for the year ended 31 March 2026, following a record year for new business origination. The asset-based lender underwrote £137 million of new facilities during the financial year, supporting transactions including acquisitions, management buyouts and turnarounds, alongside funding for business growth. IGF said its performance was also supported by client retention and risk management, with total net assets increasing to a record £64 million. The results represent another year of double-digit profitability for the lender, despite a period characterised by economic uncertainty, elevated interest rates and geopolitical pressures. IGF has also amended and extended its senior bank facilities, providing additional capacity to support new and existing clients and the lender’s future growth. New business activity has continued into the current financial year. Since the end of March, IGF has completed 10 new deals during its first quarter, representing aggregate facilities of £77 million. Steve Chait, CEO of IGF, said: “I am delighted to announce another excellent set of results for IGF. “Our performance of sustained profitability over the years reflects the stability of the strong foundations that we have built since inception. “I am also grateful for the support of our banking syndicate and the work they have done to amend and extend our senior banking facilities.” Chait said the record origination performance achieved during the year had continued into the first quarter of the new financial year. He added: “Our record-setting origination performance of last year, which has continued into the first quarter of this financial year, reflects our ongoing commitment to provide attractive financing solutions to UK SMEs and mid-market firms. “These results would not have been possible without the strong support of our shareholders, our banks and, most importantly, the fantastic team that we have in place at IGF.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories NewsArbuthnot Commercial ABL backs Sigma’s growth and acquisition plans NewsALL Capital provides £6m ABL facility to Braincare NewsArbuthnot Commercial ABL provides growth funding for Celltech Receivables Finance
