After seven years at the helm, Chief Executive John Jenkins has announced his intention to retire. The company’s Board has appointed Andy Taylor and Lee Pearson to jointly lead the business, with their new roles taking effect from 30 March. Under the new structure, Andy Taylor will become Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he will lead the company’s commercial strategy and oversee all activities supporting origination. Lee Pearson will take on the role of Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, expanding his responsibilities to include Risk alongside Operations, HR, IT, Change and Finance. Both will report directly to the Board. The leadership succession plan has been designed to ensure continuity while positioning Haydock for its next stage of development in the asset finance market. As part of the transition, John Jenkins will remain with the business in the coming months to support a smooth handover before departing at the end of June. During Jenkins’ tenure, Haydock Finance strengthened its market position, expanded its capabilities and developed a high-performing team aligned with the company’s long-term ambitions. The Board said the appointments of Taylor and Pearson reflect the strength of the existing leadership team and Haydock’s continued commitment to service-led growth. John Jenkins said the past seven years had been among the most rewarding of his career. “The past seven years have been some of the most enjoyable and rewarding of my career. We have built a fantastic team and driven transformation and growth. I am delighted to be handing on to Andy and Lee and certain they will lead the business to continued success,” he said. Andy Taylor said the business is well positioned for its next chapter. “Lee and I are taking the business on in great shape and ready to drive the next phase of growth. Jointly leading the business plays to both of our strengths and allows each of us to focus our efforts where we can have most impact.
