Eric Vial elected Chairman of Crédit Agricole S.A. Board

Crédit Agricole S.A.’s Board of Directors has elected Eric Vial as Chairman, following a meeting held on 16 December 2025. He will assume his duties on 1 January 2026, succeeding Dominique Lefebvre.

The Board of Directors unanimously paid tribute to Dominique Lefebvre for his work and commitment over a 10-year term at the helm, highlighting his significant contribution to the Group’s governance and development.

Eric Vial was elected Chairman of the Fédération nationale du Crédit Agricole (FNCA) and of SAS Rue La Boétie on 4 December 2025. He has served as Chairman of Crédit Agricole des Savoie since 2018 and has been a member of the Bureau of the FNCA since 2022, becoming Deputy Chairman in 2024. He has also been a director of Crédit Agricole S.A. since 2022. In addition, Eric Vial sits on the board of Crédit Agricole Indosuez Wealth Management and is Chairman of CFM Indosuez Wealth Management.

Born in 1968, Eric Vial holds a BTS (vocational training certificate) in agricultural techniques and business management. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in the cooperative sector and the regional economy, both within Crédit Agricole and through his work as a breeder. A former founding chairman of the Savoie Breeders’ Cooperative—one of the largest cooperatives in Savoie—he has also served on the Finance Commission and the Territories Commission of the Chamber of Agriculture.

His dairy company’s production holds AOP and IGP certifications, reflecting very high environmental and health standards.

With his extensive experience in cooperative governance, regional development, and financial services, Eric Vial brings a strong cooperative identity and sector expertise to the chairmanship of Crédit Agricole S.A. as the Group enters a new chapter from 2026.
