Econocom celebrates women in technology and finance

Share

Econocom brought together leaders and rising professionals from across the tech and finance sectors for its annual International Women’s Day event, Celebrating Women in Technology and Finance, fostering meaningful dialogue, connection, and inspiration.

Held in London on 26 March, the event welcomed attendees from organisations including EY, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Hodge Jones & Allen, and BDO LLP, all coming together to support and strengthen this growing community.

This year’s theme focused on three core pillars — celebrate, connect, and empower.

The programme opened with a panel discussion featuring industry experts: Jan Dhamrait, Head of Technology Management Finance at Econocom; Suzan Sakarya, Senior Manager of Channel Sales at Jamf; Mamta Saha, Business Psychologist; and Tristan Vernon, Sales Director at Econocom.

The panel explored a range of important topics, including the barriers women face in technology and finance, the realities of returning to work after career breaks, navigating career setbacks, and advice for the next generation entering the industry. Through personal stories and honest reflections, the speakers shared valuable insights on how we can all contribute to meaningful change.

Jan Dhamrait highlighted the broader purpose of the event, stating:

“I’ve always believed that real progress comes from creating spaces where people can share honest experiences and support one another. I’m proud that Econocom and our partners are building that environment, and we’re committed to growing this community to drive meaningful progress across our industry.”

Audience members responded positively to the discussion, with one attendee commenting: “Genuinely very eye-opening, hearing the panel’s stories gave me a lot to reflect on and take forward.”

Following the panel, guests continued conversations during a networking session with drinks and canapés. A live caricaturist added a creative and personal element to the evening, offering attendees a unique keepsake.

For Econocom, this event is far more than a calendar moment, it reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community where individuals feel empowered to thrive.

Econocom is proud to continue building a network of women and allies, and recognises that while progress is being made, there is still more to be done. They remain committed to playing their part in driving that change.
