Celebrating excellence in asset finance at the Summer Awards

Share

The Finance Connect Summer Awards 2026 continue to shine a spotlight on the organisations driving performance, innovation, and partnership across the UK asset, auto, equipment and receivables finance communities.

A key category within the community awards is the Asset Finance Provider of the Year Award, sponsored by LTi Technology Solutions.

It recognises providers that go beyond strong financial performance to set the standard for service excellence, collaboration, and long-term value within the broker-led ecosystem.

Open to UK challenger banks, SME lenders, independent and growing lenders – as well as providers originating business through brokers – this category recognises institutions that are leading from the front in a competitive and fast-evolving market.

Entrants will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellence in asset finance delivery, with clear evidence of strong customer outcomes
  • A commitment to broker partnerships, underpinned by trust, accessibility, and responsiveness
  • Market leadership, whether through growth, innovation, or strategic direction
  • A measurable contribution to the wider industry, helping to shape the future of asset finance

In an environment where speed, flexibility, and service are critical, this award highlights providers that combine operational strength with a genuine partnership approach.

Setting the standard: 2025’s winner

Last year’s winner, United Trust Bank, exemplified what it means to be a modern, relationship-led asset finance provider.

Crowned Asset Finance Provider of the Year 2025, United Trust Bank stood out for its ability to deliver sustained, organic growth while maintaining a boutique, broker-first approach. Its model – built on direct access to underwriters, deep sector expertise, and a commitment to service – enabled it to scale without compromising quality.

The bank’s continued investment in technology, including API-driven proposal systems and integrated platforms, demonstrated how digital innovation can enhance, not replace, human relationships. At the same time, new propositions such as Agri Finance and Block Discounting, alongside geographic expansion into Scotland, highlighted its focus on long-term, sustainable growth.

Reflecting on the win, Astrid Michael said: “Winning the Asset Finance Provider of the Year award is a tremendous honour and I am delighted for the recognition it brings to our fantastic team at UTB.

“Their hard work, commitment and dedication to providing great products and service to brokers are the reason we won the award.

“The award is especially meaningful because it reflects the trust and support of our broker partners who are at the heart of everything we do. We understand that without them we wouldn’t have a business, let alone an award.

“In a competitive market, this recognition affirms that our approach – combining expert knowledge with a personal, partnership-led service – continues to make a meaningful and tangible difference.”

United Trust Bank’s success provides a clear benchmark for 2026 entrants – demonstrating that consistent performance, strong relationships, and a clear strategic vision remain the foundations of award-winning lenders.
