Arval UK earns EcoVadis Platinum Medal for sustainability

Arval UK has announced it has been awarded an EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing the vehicle leasing company among the top-performing businesses globally for sustainability performance.

Part of BNP Paribas Group, Arval UK achieved a score of 88 out of 100 in the latest EcoVadis assessment, placing the business in the top 1% of companies assessed globally over the previous 12 months. The result represents a 12-point increase on the company’s previous gold medal rating.

EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of business sustainability ratings, assessing organisations across four key themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. More than 130,000 companies globally have been rated through the EcoVadis framework.

The Platinum Medal awarded to Arval UK adds to a wider series of EcoVadis recognitions achieved across the wider Arval BNP Paribas business globally, including ratings secured by operations in Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Brazil.

EcoVadis ratings are based on internationally recognised sustainability standards including the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, International Labour Organization conventions, Global Reporting Initiative standards and ISO 26000. The framework is designed to provide businesses with an evidence-based assessment of sustainability performance alongside guidance for continuous improvement.
