Awards Anglo Scottish Asset Finance named AFC Large Broker of the Year 2025 Published: 7th July 2025 Share Anglo Scottish Asset Finance has solidified its place among the industry’s elite by winning the AFC Large Broker of the Year 2025, sponsored by Allica Bank, at the prestigious Asset Finance Connect Summer Awards. In a remarkable achievement, the company also secured a place among the Top 3 Brokers in the AF Broker 30 rankings, underscoring its consistent performance, innovation, and commitment to excellence. The awards, held during a warm and vibrant evening at City Central in the grounds of the Honourable Artillery Club, that brought together industry professionals from across the asset finance sector, celebrated those setting new benchmarks in professionalism, integrity, and client service. Although David Foster, Managing Director of Anglo Scottish, was unable to attend in person, he shared high praise for the event: “The feedback from the Anglo Scottish team who were there was overwhelmingly positive. The evening was exceptionally well organised, with a great atmosphere and a genuine sense of celebration throughout,” said Foster. “Events like these are a powerful reminder of the strength and camaraderie within the asset finance community — a sector built on long-standing relationships, mutual respect, and shared ambition.” Founded in 2007 by four asset finance experts from both sides of the English-Scottish border, Anglo Scottish Asset Finance has grown into one of the UK’s most respected independent finance brokers. The company offers a comprehensive range of solutions for businesses and individuals alike, spanning asset finance, commercial funding, and private vehicle finance, including luxury cars, motorhomes and motorbikes. Winning the AFC Large Broker of the Year Award is more than a trophy for Anglo Scottish; it’s a symbol of its identity and purpose. “Winning the AFC Large Broker of the Year Award 2025 is a powerful validation of everything Anglo Scottish stands for: ethical finance, innovation, and putting people first,” said Foster. “This award recognises not only the strength of our numbers – but the strength of our values. It celebrates the commitment of our people, over half of whom chose to invest their own money during our MBO, and a leadership culture grounded in humility, openness, and care.” Indeed, Anglo Scottish’s journey over the past year has been defined by both strategic evolution and operational resilience. One of the biggest milestones has been the successful creation and evolution of a Hybrid Broker/Lender model, positioning the firm for greater agility and closer alignment with sustainability-focused funders. “The decision to change our business model was not taken lightly. It required internal collaboration across all aspects of Anglo Scottish. Through the hard work and determination of our teams, we’ve created a model that will allow us to be more agile, more client-focused, and more aligned with funders who are prioritising sustainability and long-term partnerships,” Foster explained. At the same time, the firm is navigating one of the industry’s toughest challenges – adapting to new commission disclosure requirements. Rather than seeing it as a roadblock, Anglo Scottish embraced the changes as an opportunity to reinforce its long-standing commitment to transparency. “While transparency is something we’ve always embraced, the implementation of the new requirements brought operational complexity, additional administrative steps, and a need for rapid internal process adjustments. Despite this, we met the challenge head-on. Our compliance team worked proactively to embed the changes efficiently and support the wider team with clarity and confidence,” Foster said. Backed by an extensive network of over 80 funders, Anglo Scottish has not only survived but thrived in a rapidly changing financial landscape – thanks to its technology-enabled service model, strong internal culture, and focus on ethical, sustainable finance. “Winning this award is not the culmination of our journey, but a marker that we’re on the right path – and a motivator to keep setting the bar higher,” Foster concluded.
