Community AFPA Trust BIG Golf 2025 raises over £11,000 for charity Published: 6th August 2025 Share The AFPA Trust BIG Golf Day 2025, the flagship charity golf event for the asset finance industry, delivered a winning combination of competitive golf and charitable giving on Thursday, 24th July, raising a record-breaking £11,875 for 11 different charities. Held on the prestigious Red Course at The Berkshire Golf Club in Ascot, the day brought together industry leaders and supporters for a full day of golf, fundraising and community spirit. VIP Apps topped the leaderboard in the main competition, winning £4,400 for Thames Hospice, while Netsol Technologies took second place with £2,400 donated to SPLIT – Supporting Paediatric Liver and Intestinal Transplantation. Third place was shared between Compass Business Finance, HPE, and Shire Leasing, who directed their winnings to causes close to their hearts. The Yellow Ball competition saw Reward Finance return to the podium with a £2,000 charity win. Victor Finance, BPCE, Novuna, and Star Capital also earned donations for their nominated charities, including Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare and Richmond Borough Mind. Individual prizes went to Stephen Hole of Reward Finance for Longest Drive, and Ken Cotter from Rigby Capital for Nearest the Pin, each winning £250 for their chosen charities. Rigby Capital generously matched the donation to Honeypot. A small charity auction added a further £1,500 to the fundraising total, thanks to generous bids from Richard O’Brien of Reward Finance and Mark from Compass Business Finance, with prizes donated by The Berkshire and Vince O’Hanlon of VitrX. Robert Taylor, Chair of the AFPA Trust, praised the industry’s support and the event’s continued impact: “The BIG Golf Day has become a highlight of the asset finance calendar, not just for the great golf, but for the incredible generosity it inspires. This year’s event raised more than ever before, and it’s humbling to see how many charities will benefit. Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and made the day so special.” Next year’s AFPA Trust BIG Golf Day will once again return to The Berkshire on Thursday, 23rd July 2026.
