Acquis Data Services has unveiled Lessor Connect, a new feature on its Lumia platform aimed at improving communication, collaboration and transparency across the asset finance industry.

The tool, launched today, enables lessors to contact one another directly through the platform, providing a secure channel for sharing information about existing lending agreements. The company says the feature is designed to support more informed lending decisions while reducing the risk of fraudulent activity.

Lumia, introduced in 2022, serves as a central register of asset finance borrowing and offers real-time visibility of a customer’s lending exposure. According to Acquis, the platform now has 42 asset finance companies onboard, representing more than 500,000 live agreements with a combined value exceeding £29 billion.

James Rudolf, Chief Commercial Officer at Acquis Data Services, said the launch reflects the needs of current users.

“Lessor Connect has been developed based on feedback from existing Lumia users who are keen to strengthen the collaboration and communication via the platform,” he said. “The feature provides a secure, platform-based environment where information can choose to be shared confidentially and help resolve queries and ensure greater transparency when managing agreements.”

Rudolf added that expanding Lumia’s collaborative capabilities is central to the company’s long-term vision: “This is just another step in our goal to make Lumia the ‘go-to’ platform for the industry to collaborate – as well as helping to identify suspicious activity, we see Lumia as a safe place where users can share information to make more informed decisions.”

Lessor Connect is now live and available to all registered lessors using the Acquis Lumia platform.
