In his new role, Long will oversee the maintenance and development of the Lumia platform, acting as the primary contact for its members. He will also coordinate reporting and product developments, ensuring processes deliver a seamless end-to-end experience for users. Launched in 2022, Lumia provides lenders with real-time insight into a customer’s borrowing exposure, helping to identify suspicious or irregular activity. The platform has rapidly expanded, with 42 asset finance companies now signed up, covering more than 400,000 agreements worth over £24 billion. Long joins from Paragon, where he spent seven years as a portfolio manager overseeing £536 million of property client borrowings, ranging from £1 million to £25 million. During his tenure, he also developed Paragon’s in-life monitoring system to improve risk management and efficiency. His earlier career included roles in commercial credit at Barclays and RBS. Commenting on his appointment, Long said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Acquis Data Services as Client Manager and really looking forward to working closely with our clients and helping them unlock the full value of their data. It’s really exciting to be joining at this time as Lumia really has gained momentum in the marketplace and is becoming a powerful tool for the Lumia community by helping to mitigate fraud, credit and operational risks, whilst aiding smarter decision making and industry collaboration.” James Rudolf, Director at Acquis Data Services, said Long’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the platform: “Lumia has grown exponentially, and James’ appointment is testament to the community that we’ve grown since its launch. He brings a wealth of experience from the industry and will be instrumental in the next phase of Lumia as we look to harness its power and add value through reporting and product development.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories AppointmentsAsset Advantage appoints South East area sales manager AppointmentsBibby appoints Gemma Heath to support SME growth in the West Midlands Corporate Member AppointmentsHaydock Finance appoints new vendor manager
