K3680 – Operations Manager – UK, Birmingham (Hybrid) – Asset Finance

New Leaf Search is partnering with an established and growing Asset Finance organisation in its search for an experienced Operations Manager to lead a substantial operations function and support the continued development of its business

This is a senior leadership opportunity within a predominantly vendor-driven Asset Finance business, with responsibility for improving operational performance, developing a high-performing team and ensuring the efficient delivery of transactions from initial proposal through to payout

Working closely with senior management, you will oversee day-to-day operations, identify opportunities for process improvement and play an important role in supporting business growth, operational change and the adoption of new technologies

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead, manage and develop a substantial operations team, promoting accountability, collaboration and high performance
• Oversee the end-to-end sales administration and transaction process, ensuring efficient progression from proposal through to payout
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements to transaction turnaround times and service delivery
• Manage workflow allocation, resource planning and team performance to maintain effective operational coverage
• Monitor operational KPIs, service levels and reporting to support informed management decisions
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity across business systems and transaction records
• Develop and maintain effective operational relationships with external funders and third-party service providers
• Ensure operational processes and controls support regulatory compliance, risk management and business continuity
• Collaborate with Sales, Compliance and Finance teams to improve communication, processes and customer outcomes
• Support digital transformation initiatives, including automation and the introduction of new technologies
• Contribute to the development of customer service capabilities and improvements across the customer journey
• Mentor and develop team members, supporting training, succession planning and a positive working culture

Person Specification:

• Significant experience managing operations within Asset Finance and Leasing, ideally within a vendor finance or brokerage environment
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop large operational teams
• Strong understanding of the Asset Finance transaction lifecycle, including sales administration, documentation and payouts
• Experience delivering operational improvements, managing change and developing scalable processes
• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements, operational controls and risk management
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance service delivery, efficiency and business growth
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior leadership and multiple departments
• An innovative, solutions-focused approach, with an interest in technology and process automation
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities
• A proactive and collaborative leader with the ambition to contribute to the organisation’s continued development

Working Arrangements

Hybrid working, with a requirement to attend the office at least three days per week

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services, particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing. Relevant IN-COUNTRY experience is required; applications without it will not be considered
