Under the agreement, Drivalia will act as Mobility Partner to Villa Medici, supporting the Academy’s daily operations and institutional projects with a fleet of latest-generation electrified vehicles. The initiative aims to integrate low environmental impact transport into the Academy’s activities while preserving the integrity of its historic surroundings. Founded in 1666 by Louis XIV, Villa Medici sits atop Rome’s Pincio Hill and is widely regarded as a cornerstone of European artistic creation and research. The site hosts artists and scholars in residence and encompasses a vast architectural complex along with seven hectares of historic gardens. Through this collaboration, Drivalia’s vehicles will play a key logistical role, supporting everything from the transportation needs of resident artists and researchers to the maintenance and upkeep of the estate. Roberto Sportiello, CEO of Drivalia, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and cultural value. “The collaboration with Villa Medici represents an opportunity for Drivalia to place its mobility solutions at the service of an institution that is a benchmark for European culture,” he said. “Our goal is to provide tools that respect the value of such prestigious historical settings, promoting an operational management that is increasingly environmentally conscious and in line with our Group’s core values.” Sam Stourdzé, Director of the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici, highlighted the broader significance of the agreement. “Drivalia’s inclusion among the partners of the French Academy in Rome strengthens a process of heritage enhancement that began in recent years,” he said. “Drivalia’s support allows us to integrate modern, sustainable logistical solutions into our activities. It is a virtuous example of how collaboration between cultural institutions and companies can foster a forward-looking vision rooted in history and open to innovation.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories NewsEnvironmental goals remain top driver of fleet EV adoption NewsZenobē and Vectalia sign €120m electrification leasing agreement NewsBVRLA approves governance reforms and confirms new appointments Fleet Finance
