Under the agreement, Fleet Alliance will provide vehicles for Royal London colleagues who require a car for business purposes, alongside those choosing a vehicle through the company’s salary sacrifice scheme. The appointment follows a competitive review process, with Fleet Alliance selected for its customer service, digital technology, vehicle choice and expertise in leasing and fleet management. The new arrangements will give Royal London employees access to a wide range of new and used vehicles, including electric and plug-in hybrid models, supported by an online platform designed to simplify vehicle selection and management. Andy Bruce, CEO of Fleet Alliance, said: “We’re thrilled to have been selected by Royal London to support both its company car requirements and colleague salary sacrifice scheme. “Bringing the two together gives Royal London a joined-up approach to its vehicle provision, backed by our technology, fleet expertise and access to a broad choice of new and used electric vehicles. “Royal London placed considerable emphasis on the experience it wanted to provide colleagues, alongside value, flexibility and its longer-term mobility objectives. Those are areas where we believe Fleet Alliance can add significant value, and we’re looking forward to developing the partnership.” Royal London worked closely with Fleet Alliance during the transition, providing colleagues with guidance materials, communications and support throughout the implementation process. The partnership is also intended to support Royal London’s longer-term mobility objectives, including expanding employee access to electric vehicles. Kirsten Paterson, Reward Partner at Royal London, said: “The decision to move to Fleet Alliance was driven by our desire to provide colleagues with the best possible experience throughout the vehicle journey. While competitive pricing remains important, we were equally focused on service quality, technology, vehicle choice and the ability to support our future requirements. “Fleet Alliance demonstrated strength across all of these areas and we’re excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring for our colleagues.” Early uptake of the schemes has included electric vehicles from Tesla, Polestar, MINI, Jaecoo and Leapmotor, reflecting the range of new and used models available to employees. Louise Gunn, Senior Proposition Analyst at Royal London, who recently took delivery of a used MINI Cooper S through the salary sacrifice scheme, said: “The customer service I received was excellent from start to finish. Everyone I dealt with was professional, helpful and responsive, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fleet Alliance to colleagues considering a salary sacrifice vehicle.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories NewsTesla partners with SalSac and DreamLease on employee vehicle scheme NewsFleet Operations warns employers over smartwatch driver distraction risks NewsBynx enhances lease quotation portal to support SME fleet market Fleet Finance
