Cynergy Bank appoints Jill Jones and David Farrow as independent NEDs

Cynergy Bank has appointed Jill Jones and David Farrow as Independent Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to its Board, effective from 14 September 2026.

The appointments strengthen the SME lender and business bank’s Board with additional experience spanning financial services, audit, risk, governance, strategic finance and business transformation.

Jill Jones will join the Board’s Audit Committee and become Cynergy Bank’s Consumer Champion from October, helping to ensure customer needs are considered at the highest levels of the Bank’s decision-making.

A Chartered Accountant, Jones has experience as a Non-Executive Director and former executive board member, with a background spanning audit, risk, governance and business leadership across corporate, professional services and not-for-profit organisations.

She is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at DSW Capital PLC. She also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Cynergy Business Finance Limited, Cynergy Bank’s asset-based lending arm, and will remain in both positions.

David Farrow brings more than 35 years of financial services experience to the Board, covering governance, risk, strategic finance, transformation and regulatory oversight.

His previous senior leadership positions at Barclays include Head of UK Corporate Banking and Head of International Corporate Banking. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of Barclays Bank Ireland PLC during the creation and operationalisation of Barclays Europe.

David Farrow, Independent Non-Executive Director at Cynergy Bank, said:

The appointments follow Kim Rebecchi’s appointment as Chair of Cynergy Bank in July 2026, as the bank continues to strengthen its leadership and governance structure.
