Driveway Vehicle Solutions adds used cars to salary sacrifice scheme

Driveway Vehicle Solutions has expanded its Employee Car Benefit Scheme to include approved used vehicles, aiming to make salary sacrifice accessible to a wider range of employees.

The fleet and leasing arm of Lithia UK said the move follows feedback from employers that the cost of a new vehicle can put salary sacrifice beyond the reach of some employees.

Employees will now be able to select an approved used car alongside the scheme’s existing new vehicle offering, providing a broader range of vehicles, price points and agreement lengths.

Used vehicles will be available on agreements ranging from 12 to 36 months, depending on the car, and will be no more than four years old. Employees will be able to view details of the specific vehicle before making their choice, including its registration, mileage and condition grade.

Driveway Vehicle Solutions said it already has used vehicles in stock, potentially reducing lead times compared with new factory orders, with all vehicles supplied with a full-service history.

Servicing, maintenance, tyres, breakdown cover, vehicle tax and Life Shield will also be included as standard.

Paul Murdoch, Head of Sales at Driveway Vehicle Solutions, said: “As we’ve worked closely with our customers, we’ve consistently heard that while demand for salary sacrifice continues to grow, a brand-new vehicle isn’t always the right fit for every employee.

“That’s why we’re excited to introduce our Approved Used vehicles, giving employers the ability to extend the appeal of their scheme and offer even greater choice.”

Initial used stock includes vehicles from manufacturers including Audi, Dacia, Ford, Hyundai, Polestar, Porsche, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo, with availability changing as individual vehicles enter stock.

The new offering builds on Driveway Vehicle Solutions’ salary sacrifice scheme launched in June 2025. The company said the scheme has since provided access to tax-efficient electric vehicle options for more than 25,000 employees across customers including The Royal Mint, A.F. Blakemore, AVCO and Targa Telematics.
