Vendor Sales Manager – Asset Finance – Southern Based, home working

Our client is a very successful lending solutions provider into the UK SME sector, with an impressive track record in the asset finance markets. They have also significantly grown as a business over the past few years as well as growing their product offerings. We are looking for someone who is currently in a field-based asset finance role or someone who is in an internal asset finance BD role and looking to get into their first field-based role.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendor partners, to maximise sales opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new vendor partnerships in the chosen sectors to expand their market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify vendor opportunities in underserved markets.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and call plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the asset finance products and services to effectively communicate their value propositions to vendors.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and provide regular reports and updates to Head of Channel.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as credit, operations, and marketing to streamline processes, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional service to our vendors.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential new opportunities.
  • Manage and sell pricing policy and negotiate on rate with allocated vendor accounts.
  • Attend supplier events and trade shows to develop brand awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing the business and the wider asset finance industry.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of asset finance products.
  • Good communicator, written and oral.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • A proven ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
